I installed osx mountain lion on the virtual machine and updated it to el capitan, I wanted to install xcode for myself and immediately pops up a window – "xcode cannot be installed on macintosh because osx version 10.11 or later is required" help me decide if anyone knows.

Well, there are three two options:

Look for a version of xcode younger than in the store (on torrents I installed it myself on the old hackintosh), but there will not be the latest versions of systems for the simulator (and devices most likely), the latest version of swift, and the store may not start up your apu

Search on hackintosh osx version 10.11 or higher
