Let's say I build my project as a console project under Debian with a graphical environment in Mono, and then I want to run it on a server running the same Debian. What packages do I need to install on the server in order to be able to run exe files built on another Linux on it using the mono project?
As it turned out, to run, you need to install the mono-complete package in order for everything to work (for me, at least – a simple server application). After resolving all dependencies (quite a few on bare Debian 7.8 ), the command
working. To install the package, add the repositories, everything is as indicated in the Mono installation documentation :
apt-key adv --keyserver hkp://keyserver.ubuntu.com:80 --recv-keys 3FA7E0328081BFF6A14DA29AA6A19B38D3D831EF echo "deb http://download.mono-project.com/repo/debian wheezy main" | tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/mono-xamarin.list apt-get update
You can see what other applications are behind them, which are on mono, for example
