dns – Is there a reserved domain like example.com in Spanish?

Question:

For documentation in English it is useful to have http://example.com and http://example.org as domains reserved by the IANA to write examples. I do not like to use the same in documentation in Spanish, to be consistent in the use of language.

Is there something similar to example.com in Spanish? Clearly example.com and example.org are not. But perhaps there is a local NIC in Latin America that has made a domain reservation similar to what IANA did.

Answer:

No, the only domains reserved for these sample cases are:

  • example.com
  • example.net
  • example.org

More information

Additionally, as specified in RFC 2606 and RFC 6761 , all domains ending in TLD are considered test domains:

  • .test
  • .example
  • .invalid
  • .localhost
