Interaction between a C ++ application and a PHP server

Question:

Please help us get out of the creative deadlock:

When starting a C ++ application, it checks its version against the information about the latest version, which is stored in the database on the hosting.

How to return information to the application in PHP (after all, this is not a browser)? And also what should be the minimum set of parameters in the POST request header when sending to the server (the client sends the version number and its description)?

Answer:

I wrote a wrapper class https://github.com/sitev/cjWinHttp to access sites from a C ++ program, maybe it will come in handy =)
